ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS

We are currently accepting applications for a marketing communications specialist. This is a full-time salaried position reporting to the director of marketing. Responsibilities include writing and editing, publications production management, website, email and social media content management, and marketing support of all Madison Symphony Orchestra programs. INTERNSHIPS (UNPAID)
We are currently accepting applications for an unpaid internship in our Education and Community Engagement department.
ORCHESTRA AUDITIONS
The MSO is a fully orchestrated, part time professional ensemble comprised of 91 contracted, per-service musicians, offering approximately 80 services per season. The MSO announces auditions for the 2017-18 season:

PRINCIPAL HARP
WED AND THURS, MAY 24 AND 25 - PRELIMINARY AND FINAL ROUNDS

One Regular position is available. Excerpt list is available here.

You may use your own harp for the auditions; a Lyon & Healy 23 harp will be available for auditionees to use if desired.

SECTION VIOLA
TUE, SEPT 5 - PRELIMINARY AND FINAL ROUNDS

One Regular position is available. Excerpt list is available COMING SOON

SECTION VIOLIN
WED AND THURS, SEPT 6 AND 7 - PRELIMINARY AND FINAL ROUNDS

Five Regular positions are available, two in Violin I and three in Violin II. Excerpt list is available COMING SOON




If you would like to audition, please email a cover letter and one-page resume including your instrument to MSO Personnel Manager Alexis Carreon at acarreon@madisonsymphony.org.
If a current member of the MSO wins a new position, these auditions may be used to fill the resulting opening.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.
