The Madison Symphony Orchestra League will present the John DeMain Award for Outstanding Commitment to Music to Marian Bolz on Friday, September 13 at the Madison Concourse Hotel. The Award recognizes an individual or individuals for their longstanding and unwavering support of the League, the Madison Symphony Orchestra and music in the community.

The special evening will feature musical performances by The Rhapsodie Quartet and 2019 Bolz Young Artist competition finalists Monona Suzuki and Antonio Wu. Anders Yocom will be the Master of Ceremonies in a program honoring Marian, a Life Director of the Madison Symphony Orchestra, and a founder and Life Member of the Madison Symphony Orchestra League, who has given generously of her time and talent during her extraordinary 63-year commitment to the Symphony.

The Gala, put on by the MSOL, supports their commitment to the Madison Symphony Orchestra’s nationally-recognized Education and Community Engagement Programs. Marian Bolz has been a tireless and passionate advocate for the Symphony’s youth education efforts and community outreach.
