Rachel Barton Pine Returns! Receptions

Post-concert receptions are held immediately following Madison Symphony Orchestra subscription concerts to celebrate those who made the concerts possible, including sponsors, orchestra musicians, guest artists, conductor, and donors to the Annual Fund, which provides essential support for all Symphony programs.
After the most recent concerts, Rachel Barton Pine Returns!, guests gathered in the Promenade Lobby, the second floor of the Overture Hall lobby, and enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres and a hosted bar. Featured guest artist Rachel Barton Pine and guest conductor Tania Miller joined shortly after the reception began.
Executive Director Robert Reed gave remarks to recognize and thank the weekend’s sponsors. Musicians from the first violin section were invited to the podium to briefly introduce themselves. Rachel Barton Pine and Tania Miller both spoke and expressed their enthusiasm for the wonderful music shared with the orchestra over the course of the three-concert weekend. As always, there was gratitude for our top-tier venue, Overture Hall, in which the Symphony performs, thanks to W. Jerome Frautschi’s incredible gift that made the Overture Center for the Arts for the city of Madison.
A wide variety of guests are invited to the Symphony’s post-concert receptions throughout the season. Leadership Donors, who make a gift to the Symphony’s Annual Fund of $2,000 or more, have an open invitation to all receptions. Concerto ($500+) and Encore ($1,000+) level donors are invited to one reception each season. Musicians from different sections of the orchestra (e.g. first violins or percussionists) and certain groups of donors (Stradivarius Society or long-time donors) receive a special invitation to receptions each season.
