Jessica and Sophia Jiang, winners of the The Final Forte, play Dvorák’s four-handed Slavonic Dances and share an intimate conversation.

The latest addition to our “Home Is Where the Art Is” Young Artist Series features Sophia and Jessica Jiang, sisters who have both performed as soloists with the Symphony in our Young People’s Competitions and Concerts. They share a duet — one of Dvorák’s four-handed Slavonic Dances — followed by a conversation — including reflections about the work they perform that is like playing as one, to their feelings for each other, and the universal language of music that unites people throughout the world.

They performed together in The Final Forte 2021 on March 3, 2021 — Sophia was accompanied by Jessica — and Sophia won first prize in the competition. Read more about The Final Forte 2021.

This performance and interview was capture last summer as part of our Young Artist Series. You can experience individual performances by Jessica and Sophia and interviews as well.
