Our 21/22 Overture Concert Organ season features the return of Isabelle Demers, and countertenor Reginald Mobley joins Principal Organist Greg Zelek for a program of organ transcriptions and gospel spirituals. Rhapsodie Quartet
Friday, July 16
Join Madison Symphony Orchestra’s Rhapsodie Quartet for a FREE performance at Olbrich Gardens during their Summer Concert Series on July 16. This is a free community concert, but tickets are required! Learn more and register for tickets through Olbrich Gardens.

Revisit Homer’s epic tale, distilled by one war-torn poet. Actor Jim DeVita takes audiences on a thrilling, wrenching tour of the Trojan War. The intimate Touchstone Theatre is an ideal space for this exploration of the contradictory conditions of glory and violence, and the human race’s seemingly endless fascination with war.

Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society Virtual Concerts
Saturday, June 26 & Saturday, July 3
BDDS is back! The 2021 season, entitled Brave New World, features four kinds of musical experiences.
On Saturday, June 26 at 7:30 p.m. experience “The Master and Margarita”; named for one of the greatest novels of Soviet-era Russia.
July 3rd’s performance will present, “Stranger in a Strange Land”, named for Robert Heinlein’s 1961 science-fiction novel.

National Women’s Music Festival
June 30 through July 4
This year the National Women’s Music Festival will be a five-day musical and cultural extravaganza that incorporates all facets of women’s lives. It’s a jam-packed long weekend where choices for things to do range from concerts, comedy, a marketplace, newly released films and videos, workshops featuring a spirituality series, writer’s series, and much, much more!

Concerts on the Square
Presented by the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra
Wednesday, July 7
Breese Stevens Field
The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra announces two significant updates to its perennial summer classical concert series, Concerts on the Square ®. First, all Concerts on the Square will be performed at Breese Stevens Field as planned on Wednesdays, July 7-August 4. The 2021 season with the WCO’s annual Independence Day celebration, featuring John Williams, the 1812 Overture, and more.

Art Fair Off the Square
July 10 through 11
The 42nd Annual Art Fair Off the Square is one of two juried fairs sponsored and produced by the Wisconsin Alliance of Artists and Craftspeople, Inc. (WAAC). The two day event is a showcase for about 140 exclusively Wisconsin artists and craftspeople and includes food and unexpected, spontaneous happenings. The show features ceramics, art glass, painting, fiber, sculpture, jewelry, graphics, paper-making, photography, wood, and more.

Opera in the Park
Presented by the Madison Opera
July 24, 2021 at 8:00 p.m.
Opera in the Park 2021 stars soprano Amanda Majeski, mezzo Rehanna Thelwell, tenor Andrew Stenson, and bass-baritone Kyle Ketelsen in a program of opera arias, ensembles, and more. In order to allow distancing on the stage, they will be joined by a small ensemble of solo instrumentalists, comprised of Madison-area musicians, led by John DeMain.
