Meet the Mighty Klais
The MSOL’s Parties of Note is a series of themed parties to benefit the Madison Symphony Orchestra. The 2021 Parties will be a combination of new events and parties previously scheduled in 2020. Visit the Parties of Note page for information on all Parties offered this year, registration details, and an FAQ on our 2021 events.
The MSO’s Overture Concert Organ is a striking feature of Overture Hall. It is the largest movable object in any theater in the world, with over 4,000 pipes. Enjoy a backstage tour with the MSO’s Principal Organist and Curator, Greg Zelek, as he shows us the inner workings of the organ. The tour will include on-stage seating where guests will hear Greg show what this magnificent instrument can do. Refreshments will be served in the Audubon Room prior to the tour and performance.
Refreshments: Muffins, pastries, fruit, beverages
Sponsors: Howard Kidd & Margaret Murphy, Greg Zelek
Location: Overture Center
$80 per person ($40 tax deductible)
Health and Safety Information
○ Overture Center’s Health Protocols: All who enter the Overture Center building must wear a face mask and show proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test. Patrons not vaccinated, including children under age 12, are required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result from within 72 hours prior to the performance. Please visit overture.org/health for more information on masks, vaccination proof, negative COVID test criteria, and more.
○ New Overture Security Measures: Overture will be utilizing new walk-through security screening technology that you will be required to move through on arrival. This should eliminate lines and allow foot traffic to quickly flow into the spaces. Additionally, large bags and backpacks are prohibited from entering the theater and can be checked after being inspected. For your convenience, we suggest you make other arrangements for these items before arriving. Visit overture.org/security for more information on these policies.
