Carmina Burana to air on WPR at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 31

Tune into WPR’s “Wisconsin Classical” on Sunday, December 31 at 12:00 p.m. to hear a broadcast of “Carmina Burana” performed by the Madison Symphony Orchestra and Chorus! Lori Skelton hosts this 2-hour broadcast, recorded at Madison’s Overture Hall. The program includes an interview with conductor John DeMain.

Free Hunt Quartet Recitals
Sunday, January 28 at 7:00pm – Oakwood Village University Woods
Monday, January 29 at 7:00pm – Capitol Lakes

Join the Hunt Quartet for two FREE performances at Oakwood Village and Capitol Lakes on January 28 and 29. Members of the group include MSO Musicians Paran Amiriniazari, Hillary Hempel, Jennifer Paulson, and Trace Johnson. Pieces on the program include chamber music by Mozart and Mendelssohn. Special thanks to our Hunt Quartet recital sponsor, Kato Perlman.

Children’s Theater of Madison: A Christmas Carol
December 9-23

CTM’s signature production returns to the Capitol Theater in full Victorian splendor to celebrate the holiday season. Madison Ballet: The Nutcracker
December 15-24

The passion of the holiday classic The Nutcracker, choreographed by Sara Stewart Schumann, returns to Madison! Audiences will join Clara on a night of adventure as she is transported from the comfort of her home to the exotic Land of Sweets. This magical wonderland, where flowers waltz, snowflakes twirl, and enchantments come to life, is accompanied by Tchaikovsky’s instantly recognizable music performed by the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra.
