Principal Oboist Marc Fink shares reflections of his 32-years with the Madison Symphony Orchestra and recent experiences during this time, beginning with the orchestra in 1973, through multiple evolutions including a move to the Capitol Theater that opened with Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony (which is the on the first 20/21 Beethoven & Beyond season program). Marc also shares personal notes, the art of practicing, and preparations as the soloist playing Mozart’s Concerto for Oboe for our season-opening concert in September. Marc holds the Jim and Cathie Burgess Chair.
