Registration is now open for the MSOL Symphony Gala on Friday, September 8! Join us for a fabulous evening of dinner and musical entertainment at the Madison Concourse Hotel & Governor’s Club to celebrate John DeMain’s 30th anniversary as Music Director. Highlights include a reception with music by the Muscal-Lee Yours Quartet and a performance by the 16-piece MSO Gala Orchestra led by John DeMain. Previous Final Forte winner Julian Rhee will also appear as a guest artist.

Join us for an extraordinary journey beginning in October as Principal Organist Greg Zelek transports you back to his roots with a mesmerizing concert for organ and a Latin-American band, showcasing a harmonious blend of classical masterpieces and beloved Cuban ballads. Renowned organists Ken Cowan and Chelsea Chen will push the limits of the Klais organ with their virtuosic performances in November and February, and as the grand finale in April, witness a breathtaking collaboration between Greg Zelek and the UW–Madison Wind Ensemble, under the baton of Scott Teeple.

The Manager of Grants and Sponsorships is an integral member of Development Team who manages the proposal writing, reporting and stewardship process for our business, foundation, government donors, and also plays a key role in donor stewardship for individual donors whose contributions are restricted to specific concerts, programs, projects, and special events. This position reports to the Director of Development.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Executive Assistant provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of the Executive Director. The Executive Assistant also serves as a liaison to the board of directors and oversees special projects.

Applications are being accepted through Wednesday, September 13 for our Fall Youth Concerto Competition! The competition is open to Wisconsin students in grades 3 to 8 and takes place on Saturday, September 23. The winner(s) have the opportunity to play with the MSO and for their peers during the Fall Youth Concerts on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 as well as two new Community Concerts on November 9 and 11!

For thirty-nine years, the Oakwood Chamber Players have been dedicated to delivering exceptional classical and contemporary music performances to the Madison and Wisconsin communities. Consisting of six highly skilled professionals in the fields of string and wind instruments, the group is committed to excellence in all aspects of their work, including program selection and outreach. Their 23/24 season opens with performances at Oakwood Prairie Ridge, Oakwood University Woods, and Arts + Literature Laboratory. Learn more.
Just Bach Monthly Concert

Just Bach is a monthly concert series in Madison, celebrating the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Founded to share the immense range of Bach’s vocal and instrumental repertoire with the Madison community at large, Just Bach features musicians — including several MSO musicians — who play on period instruments using historically-informed performance practice, bringing the music to life in the manner and style that Bach intended. Concerts will be in-person and recorded but not live-streamed; the recorded concert video will be posted on the Just Bach YouTube channel on the Sunday afternoon following the concert.
